I have been a professional musician since 2006, performing as a bass-trombonist in classical, jazz, period performance, electronic and pop music. I have worked with orchestras such as the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, het Residentie Orkest, het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest Nederland and the Orchestra of the 18th century as well as many professional chamber and small ensembles across Australia and Europe.
I completed a bachelor of music majoring in advance performance from the Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium in Brisbane in 2012 where I studied with Tom Coyle and a masters of music and joint orchestral academy masters at the Koninklijk Conservatorium and Residentie Orkest in Den Haag, 2016, studying with Brandt Attema, Tim Dowling and Pete Saunders.
Along side my main degree in Den Haag I also studied period music and bass sackbut with Charles Toet and his sackbut class from 2014 - 2016.
Alongside my role as an orchestral musician I develop solo and ensemble performance experiences as an artistic curator and producer of concert programming.
As an artistic curator my works focus on immersive storytelling and audience engagement, my concert programs are an introspective reflection on the emotions felt as an individual and how these play out in a broader social, political and cultural landscape. Often combining classical and contemporary music with multiple artistic disciplines to produce intermodal concert experiences, my performances frequently explore the connection between humanities shared questions about life, death, relationships, fairness and community.
